Press release from WVU Medicine:

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Officials from WVU Medicine and the community gathered today (May 30) to cut the ribbon on the new WVU Medicine Outpatient Rehabilitation Center at University Town Centre in Morgantown.

“Being able to provide a WVU Medicine-based, one-stop shop for outpatient rehabilitation services has been a long-time need for us here in the Morgantown area, so we’re thrilled to see it become a reality,” Michael Grace, Ed.D., M.B.A., F.A.C.H.E., president of WVU Hospitals and chief administrative officer of the WVU Health System, said. “Our patients can rest assured that the same great care they’re receiving in the hospital and in the provider’s office will continue through their rehabilitation journey.”

The $30 million, two-story structure totals 60,000 square feet with half of that occupied by the Center on the first level. The second level will be home to a yet-to-be-determined clinical service.

The new Center will offer physical, occupational, and speech therapy services.

It will also include an open gym space, cardio/therapy equipment, a walking track, a balance system, activities of daily living (ADL) space, a functional capacity evaluation room, an aquatic/hydrotherapy area, and a durable medical equipment room.

The Sports Medicine Clinic will include 14 treatment rooms.

Treatment options will include aquatic therapy, manual and exercise-based therapies, soft tissue and joint mobilization, post-surgical care, stroke care, functional capacity evaluations, lymphedema care, and more.
