Dr. Apryle Horbal, President of VetNOW, is a Veterinary Medical Doctor, Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College – Equine and Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Upon completion of her residency program, Dr. Horbal opened a small animal and equine emergency and referral center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was confronted with the global shortage of veterinary specialists, with an insufficient supply concentrated around cities and major universities, and the shortage of new veterinarians entering large animal practice.

In an effort to resolve this issue, VetNOW was born.

As a result of this revolutionary technological approach to animal care, there is no limit to the reach of a specialist, nor to the services that clinics can make available to their patients. Dr. Horbal’s hospital served as the proving ground for the development of the VetNOW Virtual Care initiative, perfecting clinical workflows and implementation in a busy, real-life veterinary hospital while setting and maintaining the highest of clinical standards. Since its creation, VetNOW has partnered with Texas A&M University, Lincoln Memorial University, the Smithsonian National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute, and more to provide veterinary care across rural Texas, the hills of Appalachia, and even to the remote Mountain Gorillas of Africa.
