Fayette County Prothonotary Nina Capuzzi Frankhouser has announced her intention to seek re-election to the office that she’s held since 2014.
During her time in the office, Capuzzi Frankhouser said the process of filing various types of Protection from Abuse Petitions has been improved in that a petitioner has the assistance of a Domestic Violence Legal Advocate or The Crime Victims’ Center to gather intake information in the privacy of the office of a trained professional. The office processes roughly seven-hundred (700) of these case types per year.
Additionally, scanning projects of older records have been accomplished and continue daily to insure preservation for posterity. She and her staff have been presented with awards from the Administrative Office of the Pennsylvania Courts for exemplary record keeping and reporting to the state and from the Department of State for perfect passport processing. The office customarily handles over 2,500 new civil action yearly filings and 800 passports per annum.
“Throughout my previous campaign, I promised to be an effective and efficient public servant and to serve that post with diligence and integrity,” Capuzzi Frankhouser said. “I submit my record clearly demonstrates that I have fulfilled my pledge. Based upon my record and sense of duty, I renew that promise and humbly ask for your continued support during the upcoming primary election by casting your vote for me.”
